Field widths in Datasheet view

Field widths in Datasheet view

(OP)

Why won't my field widths stay as I ascertain them.

I've drag them to the correct size and saved the class, I've right clicked and used 'field size' and saved the form, I've froze the fields and saved the form.

Naught I do works, when I open up the form information technology defaults to random fields widths?

How do I prepare the field widths in a datasheet view and make them stay that width ALWAYS?

Thanks,
1DMF

I did, in datasheet view and design view

In then stop I used VBA and the ColumnWidth attribute.

It worked on other forms, just this one refused to play ball?

This has drove me mad for a while at present , but i think i have worked out the issues! (why does Admission 2010 suck and so much?)

... view your form in datasheet view, right click the column yous want to change, select 'Unfreeze All Fields', then right click the column once more and select 'Field Width', enter your desired width, click OK.

Salve the form with the floppy disk symbol, close the form, when you open it once again the column is the width yous gear up.

It seems everytime y'all want to change a column width, you accept to unfreeze them first.

Damn annoying to say the to the lowest degree!

Also I do not think freeze is doing what you call up.  Freeze ways that it makes the column leftmost and always visible, not that the width is frozen.

well every fourth dimension i set the width and saved, information technology wouldn't save the settings, if I select unfreeze commencement then ready them and save it kept the setting!

All i know is in that location is a bug in Access 2010 and it's damn annoying getting the colum widths in a datasheet view how you want them using the access IDE.
